Our Mission
The Mission of the Jackson Square Alliance (JSA) is to improve the quality of life in and around Greenwich Village’s Jackson Square Park.
We seek to maintain Jackson Square as an attractive neighborhood centerpiece and enhance its use for everyone.
Contributions raised by the JSA are directed toward:
- Security and community programs which improve the quality of life in the park;
- Plantings, tools and supplies for our gardener to maintain and beautify the park;
- Capital improvements made in partnership with the New York City Parks Department.
Current initiatives include the restoration of the park’s fountain and a future plan to make the park more inviting by adding more plantings and replacing aging trees.
