About the Park
One of New York City’s oldest parks, Jackson Square Park has a long and rather obscure history. Acquired by the city in 1826, the park was likely named after President Andrew Jackson.
Our mission is to improve the quality of life in and around Greenwich Village’s Jackson Square Park. We seek to maintain Jackson Square as an attractive neighborhood centerpiece.
